The Nomoling originated from telephone uses, and later on, cellphone and iPad use.

It resembles a mammal, stocky in build and with a conical snout and thick legs. It has a short coat of fur, even in length. Its light-grey body darkens at the tip of the Borderling's legs, tail, and snout. Its massive tail always curves upward above its body and tapers off in holographic segments. Its eyes change depending on mood, a signal strength of a wi-fi signal, and the amount of purity it has in its body.

Inside the Nomoling's body is a thick liquid that flickers like TV static. It is cool to the touch and gives off a small amount of electrical discharge. Inside its legs and snout, the substance solidifies into sand that's ashy-grey in color.

The Nomoling isn't affected by extreme temperatures, and can quickly regenerate when its cut or severed. Interrupting its signals will make the Borderling flicker for a second before returning to normal.

The Nomoling speaks with a voice reminiscent of a timid person, quiet and wavering, and is high in pitch. The octave of its voice changes when it speaks through a phone or mobile device.

An impure Nomoling's body won't have any differences other than its eyes. The symbols on its eyes will flicker and glitch, making it hard to understand.

Effect on Its Surroundings

The Nomoling’s Effect Radius picks up sounds from other Borderlings and sends to mobile phones as a form of text messages, voicemails, and phone calls.
It can control its effects at will by using its tail. By pointing its tail at a cellphone, the Nomoling can send messages from other Borderlings and also different worlds from the Externus. The strength of its signals depends on the wi-fi signal.

Other Borderlings will use the Nomoling as a means of communicating with human beings. It manifests itself as a wi-fi signal with no name. 26.4% of the time, it will have incoherent characters in its name.

If the Nomoling’s impure, the frequency waves it sends will become corrupted. Any mobile phones will receive messages that have only static and distortion. When two corrupt Nomolings meet, their broken signals will spread even further. When a human gets near a corrupt Nomoling’s tail, it will lead to headaches and static within their vision.

Diet and Behavior

The Nomoling has a silent and shy demeanor, avoiding humans whenever possible. If the Borderling has been seen by a human being, it will quickly turn in the other direction.

It roams around the city with a level-bodied trot. While it explores its surroundings, the Nomoling will always peek its head out from corners of buildings and objects before continuing onward. It uses its ever-changing frequency to phase through walls. If two or five Nomolings meet, they press their bulbous backs together until it is time to head to the Externus. Their signal will become stronger, depending on the number of Nomoling present within their vicinity. They will only separate if a Witness is nearby.

The Nomoling's diet consists of frequencies left byIntercyberlings. Frequencies of Radio and Television Borderlings are its secondary choice. When nearby, the
Two Nomolings appear as wi-fi signals.
Nomoling will sit and watch patiently. Once the other Borderling starts to become active, the Nomoling absorbs the energy and substitutes it for their own. The results will make computers and digital televisions generate wifi signals that have blank or incoherent names.

Nomolings, however, will not be powerful enough to intercept other Borderlings' energy frequencies. Therefore, they will starve unless they can cannibalize on each other. In desperation, they will point their tails at healthier Nomoling, and absorb their energy frequencies until the other becomes exhausted to the point of fainting or death.

Habitat, Predation, and Interdimensional Travel

The Nomoling appears only in wi-fi hotspots. It manifests as a greyish-white patch of haze at first, followed by a dial tone that plays in random pitches. In 10 minutes the fog gains shape. The Nomoling levitates off the ground and won't succumb to gravity until it begins moving. Once on the ground, the Borderling will get accustomed to its surroundings, stretching and flexing its tail before starting its routine.

It avoids glitch Borderlings at all costs. When inside the other's Effect Radius, it distorts the Nomoling's form. The Borderling will go into seizures, making it vulnerable to the glitch Borderling's attacks. It will become a blob of static after dying.

The Nomoling returns to the Externus by changing their anatomical structure yet again. It slowly changes back into a patch of haze before leaving Earth's dimension. The Nomoling will leave light grey residue on where it had exited. Other Nomolings will roll around in the substance, making their fur glossier.
