The Iomechanoling originated when large groups of industrial machines became rusted and inoperable.

It resembles a pile of completely rusted scrap metal in a crude shape of a bipedal or quadruped reptile, rodent, or a wild dog. Most Iomechanolings have The metal that makes up its body is made out of rusted iron, steel, and copper; however, their claws and teeth are spotless. Every Iomechanoling will have a protective casing on their heads. The metal plates will have an appearance of large ears when lifted upward. Its head takes shape of a mammal, mostly a humanoid canine. Two headlights on its head have an appearance of large, white eyes.
Electrical wires can be seen where there's no metal plating. The insides of the Borderling are composed of pulsating organic tissue which appears to be rusted. Inside its fleshy cavity are an endless amount of different sharp and dangerous appliances. Buzz-saws, pincers, and blades are most common to manifest inside the Borderling.

Its body, despite their haphazard appearance, is highly durable and can withstand any concussions. Water will rust the Iomechanoling further, save for the claws and teeth.

It is a sentient Borderling and can also communicate with metallic, droning howls and growls.

An impure Iomechanoling will appear darker with eyes flickering like they're ready to burn out at any moment.

Effect on Its Surroundings

Rust will form around the Iomechanoling within its short, 2ft (60.96cm) effect radius. Any fauna, flora, and inanimate objects will form rust when the Borderling is nearby.  When the Iomechanoling becomes submerged in water, the water itself will rust within minutes. This, however, will prove fatal to the Borderling when submerged for 3 hours. Its body will break down and dissolve.
The rust will manifest on the skin or any dry surface in patches within 3 minutes. Within 30.6 minutes, the
blotches will rupture and liquid rust will drip and corrode
where it makes contact. The rusted object or creature will corrode further in time and break apart in over an hour. The corpse will be an unrecognizable mess of broken and rusted limbs after an hour and 28 minutes. Smaller objects will rust at a faster rate than larger objects. It can manipulate rust at will or let rust take over automatically within its effect radius.

Diet and Behavior

The Iomechanoling has a rash and restless demeanor. When idle, it whips its tail and snaps its jaws in anticipation for the hunt.

It moves with erratic and jerky motions followed by ratting and scraping of metal. The Borderling hunts with deception, transforming its abstract body into different shapes. Forms that the Borderling takes include a sculpture, a heap of discarded metal, animal sculptures, and old vehicles.
The Borderling hunts in packs of 3 or 4 and will follow prey without tiring. The Iomechanoling consumes

its prey by opening up its torso, revealing its true mouth with many sharp apparatus. These weapons of choice will cut open and tear apart its victim until they're unrecognizable. Larger prey higher than 14ft (426.72cm) will be torn up by its teeth and claws before hauling their remains into its smaller mouth. The minced and pulverized body will turn into rust and gets absorbed into the Borderling's metallic body.
It competes with the Eikostioling for food, sometimes resulting in brutal fights. The Iomechanoling's strong and sharp claws and teeth can easily break the other's exoskeleton. When it's not hunting for food, the Borderling will always camouflage itself in a suitable area of mechanical parts or machinery.

An impure Iomechanoling will have a malevolent disposition, torturing their victims until they die. Their limbs hand the tendency to lock up.

Habitat, Predation, and Interdimensional Travel

The Iomechanoling can be found in and around junkyards, abandoned buildings, gas stations, auto shops, and factories. The Borderling can enter our world only once through a dull-red and chalky portal. Because it doesn't have the power to create the same rift, it cannot leave unless it gathers material to create a rusted box, 4 inches high and 3 inches wide. The metallic box, along with running machinery, are it's only energy source to create portals back to the Externus.

The Iomechanoling will spend most of its visit wandering around the area, searching for organic prey to devour and material to create the vessel. After a successful hunt during its first visit, the Borderling will rest next to its box either lying next to it or resting on a wall nearby. Once the box will be next to active machinery, the Iomechanoling will place its front claws on the machines while holding the object with its jaws. The process will take 3 to 4 minutes until the box is fully charged. The Iomechanoling will set the object on the ground and opens the lid with its feet. After finishing the ritual the Borderling will turn into a ball of glaring red light, allowing it to be absorbed into its new portal.
The Iomechanoling will only go back to its dimension to and from the box after visiting the Earth's dimension more than once. If it can't find food during its stay, it's energy supply will diminish, and will break down until it's nothing more than ordinary rusted metal.
