The Clinosceptoling originated from the frequent use of old and discarded mattresses by homeless people.

It resembles an old, worn mattress. Blotches of dirt speckled the It comes in different sizes, from Twin (38 inches wide by 75 inches long, 40-60lbs) to King-sized (76 inches wide by approximately 80 inches long, 130 to 180lbs). Borderling's body. It has a purple, circular mouth inside its metallic frame, underneath its body. Many rows of sharp, uneven teeth line its maw.  Humanoid eyes of different sizes lined the sides of the Clinosceptoling. Each Septoclinoling has a pale blue iris and slightly bloodshot sclera. Its skin consists out of worn and musty fabric, tattered in some places. Inside its body cavity is a skeletal and digestive system that’s similar to a human’s. Its organs are same violet color as its mouth. It doesn’t speak.

Its outer shell reacts the same way in temperatures as an ordinary mattress. When exposed to fire, it incinerates in a matter of minutes. Water will make the Borderling swell slightly, its cloth absorbing the liquid.

An impure Clinosceptoling generates very little skin, exposing its flesh to outside hazards. Because of its abnormality, it will last no longer than a minute.

Effect on Its Surroundings

The Clinosceptoling generates a 4ft Effect Radius that affects individuals who're suffering from grief.  People who lost a loved one will see the Clinosceptoling as a being that feels empathy and compassion. Once they make physical contact, the person will sit alongside the Borderling. Whenever the Clinosceptoling disappears into the Externus, the affected individual will return to their original mentality, feeling better than before. If the person rejects the Borderling’s invitation, however, both individuals will feel worse. Further exposure to negative energy is fatal to the Borderling, as it will become corrupted.

The Clinosceptoling also has effects on other furniture. Any sofas, couches, and mattresses within the Borderlings vicinity will pulse and writhe. They imitate
breathing, nervous ticks, and so on. On rare occasions, they make guttural noises that resonate from inside the furniture.

An impure Clinosceptoling causes more grief to the
affected individual, resulting in chronic depression. When touched, an overwhelming sensation to commit suicide will affect the individual.

Diet and Behavior

The Clinosceptoling has a lonely and timid demeanor. When encountering a Witness for the first time, it begins to hesitate. The Borderling will shudder if the stranger gets too close. After a while, once the Clinosceptoling gets used to the same human, it will allow the individual to touch it. Hostile individuals will make the Borderling tense and shiver, cowering until the attacker leaves.

Its locomotion varies between individuals. It usually contracts and stretches like an earthworm or uses the corners of its body to crawl. When following an individual of interest, it imitates their form of locomotion. The Borderling elevates a side of its body and walks on its two corners.

'I swear I saw it following me!'

On occasions, it gets up and crawls to another location away from human eyes. Nighttime is an ideal time for the
Borderling to become active. If a Witness spots the Clinosceptoling while it's moving, it tenses up and falls flat.

The Clinosceptoling uses an unusual type of photosynthesis as its food source. Once it finds a safe location to feed, it absorbs plant life, including the light of the sun or moon.

An impure Clinosceptoling will not have any confidence towards any strangers. It will hide inside any dark area it can find and rub its body against filth.

Habitat, Predation, and Interdimensional Travel

The Septoclinoling can be found in residential areas in front of yards and around sidewalks. The bordering enters our world from out of the ground in pieces. Metal springs will emerge from the ground followed by a skeletal system.

Organs will grow inside the framework. Lastly, the fabric appears and covers almost the entire body. It remains stationary for the first 10 minutes until regaining feeling.

During most of its stay, the Clinosceptoling lives a placid life. If it spots a Purinsumocholing, it attempts to escape. It finds a nearby area with tight spaces and waits until the predator is gone. Basements are an ideal place for the Clinosceptoling to avoid getting eaten by the other Borderling.

Whenever it returns to the Externus, it had no other choice than to search for its predators. The Clinosceptoling will lay down in front of a Purinsumocholing and waits to get eaten. Only the eyes and organs remain. Once a mattress is nearby, it possesses the furniture and makes it undergo a mutation. The newly formed Clinosceptoling will generate new eyes inside its body. After the eyeballs sink to the ground, the Borderling will return to the Externus. The eyes left behind will hatch and grow into another Clinosceptoling in about a week.
